Guidelines for Authors to Prepare Articles

Title:

Title should be concise statement of the main topic and should identify the variables or theoretical issues under investigation and the relationship between them. In a Title, avoid words that serve no purpose. The title should be typed in uppercase and lowercase letters, centered between the left and right margins and positioned at the upper half of the page.

Author’s name(Byline) and Institutional Affiliation:

The preferred form of an author’s name is first name, middle initials and last name. Do not use initials (Dr, Pro, Mr etc.) and degrees (Ph.D., M.Phil.). Use a same form of name in all the publication throughout your career. The institutional affiliation should be centered under the author’s name, on the next line.

Author Note:

Place the author note on the title page, below the title, byline, and affiliation. In the first paragraph author should be written complete departmental affiliation, in the second paragraph he/she should be written changes of affiliation if any, third paragraph should be included acknowledgments. Acknowledgement consists of grants or financial support for study. In the fourth paragraph author should be written complete mailing address for correspondence and e-mail.

Abstract:

Ensure that the Abstract correctly reflects the purpose and content of the manuscript. Do not add to or comment on what is in the body of the manuscript. Write in clear and concise language. Abstract should be mentioned on a new page. Should be brief and summary of the content of the article. It should describe the problem under investigation, objectives, methodology, results and conclusion.

Introduction:

Do not write "Introduction" as heading or labelling. State why the problem deserves new research. Discuss the relevant related literature and cite and reference only works pertinent to the specific issue and not those that are of only tangential or general significance. Demonstrate the logical continuity between previous and present work. Develop the problem with enough breadth and clarity to make it generally understood by as wide a professional audience as possible. Conclude the statement of the purpose of the research that summarizes the material preceding it. Do not capitalization in naming theory.
For example: social learning theory. Begin the introduction on a new page, identifying it with the running head and the page number 3. Type the title of the manuscript in uppercase and lowercase letters centered at the top of the page, and then type the text of introduction.

Method:

  • Participants characteristics: Describe the sample adequately. Detail the sample’s major demographic characteristics, such as age, sex, ethnic and/or racial group, level of education; socio-economic, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity and language preference.
  • Sampling procedure:
    • It includes the sampling method, if a systematic sampling plan was used.
    • the percentage of the sample approached that participated and
    • the number of participants who selected themselves into the sample.
  • Research design: Specify the variables and research design. Mention the Independent variable and Dependent variable. Describe the type of research design.
  • Measures and covariates: Describe the instrument measures (Questionnaire, Psychological tests), Methods of Primary and Secondary data collection.

Results:

This part consist of Tables and Figures. The title of table or figure should brief, clear and explanatory. Do not write "the table above /below" or "the table on page 41". In relation to your result write a general notes(explanation of any abbreviations, symbols)/ specific notes(explanation of a particular column, row or cell)/ probability notes (write a level of significance p) at below the body of table. Do not describe your table result after making table. The figure should simple, clear, continue and informative.

Discussion:

Compare the most relevant study with your research. Discuss the method and result. Evaluate the past reviews with your study. Is your study support or against with other studies or anything new output gain. Make this part more interesting by discussion of your result.

Conclusions:

Short and brief conclusions should made. Indicate only significant and most valuable results and suggestion.

Author of Journal of Contemporary Psychological Research must write their paper/articles in English.
Author of Indian Journal of Social Sciences and Literature Studies can write their article in any Indian Languages or English or Hindi.
